Facebook Allows Online Gambling Operators to Post Ads

Facebook is now allowing online gambling operators to post ads on its website. Previously, the website didn’t allow online casino advertisements to be posted on its platform. However, having realized the excellent revenue earning potential of online gambling ads, Facebook amended its old laws.

Under new rules, online gambling companies related to poker, casino, lotteries, and sportsbooks are allowed to post advertisements on Facebook. Through the new regulations, mobile gambling firms can also advertise on the leading social networking site.

Although, Facebook has amended its regulations related to posting ads, the new laws are not applicable to American operators. Online casinos operating in the US are still not allowed to place ads on Facebook. However, since majority of the online casinos don’t have a US base, the prohibition should not be a problem for them.
